  • Bentley Baseball Holds 11th Annual Alumni Golf Tournament

    Last Monday, August 14th was a great day for Bentley baseball. The annual alumni golf tournament at Hopkinton Country Club was a great success. We had a sold out field with over 75 players in the field, led by the first captain of the program, Garry Keil.
  • Bentley Baseball Receives Team Academic Excellence Award from ABCA

    The Bentley University baseball team earned a Team Academic Excellence Award from the American Baseball Coaches Association for its performance in the classroom during the 2016-17 academic year. It’s the second straight year the Falcons have been honored.
  • Bentley Tops NE10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for 17th Straight Semester

    For the 17th straight semester, Bentley University had the most selections for the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll with 376 Falcon student-athletes recognized for having a 3.0 or better during the spring 2017 semester.
  • Berardino Named ABCA Division II East Region Rookie of the Year

    Bentley University freshman first baseman Ryan Berardino (Sudbury/ Lincoln-Sudbury Reg. HS), the fourth-leading hitter in the Northeast-10 Conference, has been selected as the ABCA Division II East Region Rookie of the Year by the American Baseball Coaches Association.

    Bentley University freshman first baseman Ryan Berardino (Sudbury/ Lincoln-Sudbury Reg. HS) has been named the Rookie Hitter of the Year in the Northeast-10 Conference and was also selected to both the All-Conference second team and the All-Rookie Team.
  • Sullivan Breaks Strikeout Record Before Bentley Falls in 10, 2-1

    Bentley University graduate student and right-hander Bill Sullivan (Carver/Carver HS) struck out 12 batters to break the Falcons’ single season record before Southern New Hampshire University pulled out a 2-1 win in 10 innings in the opening round of the Northeast-10 Conference Baseball Championships Tuesday night at Penmen Field.

    Two of the Northeast-10’s leaders in strikeouts, Bentley University’s Bill Sullivan (Carver/Carver HS) and Southern New Hampshire University’s Mitchell Powers, are expected to be on the mound Tuesday night when the two teams meet at Penmen Field (6 pm) in the first round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships.

    After rallying from a 9-4 deficit, the Bentley University Falcons gave up an unearned run in the bottom of the 14th inning and dropped an 11-10 decision to Assumption College in Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division baseball Saturday afternoon at Rocheleau Field. It was Bentley’s ninth one-run loss of the season.

    Junior lefty Jake Stearns (Plymouth, Mass.) pitched a four-hit shutout in the nightcap, helping nationally-ranked Southern New Hampshire University complete a sweep of visiting Bentley University in Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division baseball Saturday afternoon at Penmen Field. The 2-0 game two win came after the Penmen pulled away for a 13-4 victory in the opener.

It was the fifth win in the last eight games for the Falcons.

    Senior shortstop Tom Walraven (Pine Bush, N.Y) stole home with two outs in the bottom of the 13th to give the University of New Haven a 2-1 game-two win and a sweep of its Northeast-10 Conference baseball doubleheader with Bentley University Saturday afternoon at Frank Vieira Field. The score in the opener was 5-0.
  • Bridgeport Pulls Away for 11-4 Win over Bentley

    Everyone in the Bentley University lineup had at least one hit, but nine different Purple Knights scored a run as the University of Bridgeport pulled away late for an 11-4 win over the Falcons in non-conference college baseball at the University of Tampa’s UT Stadium Sunday afternoon.
