Bentley Puts 320 on Northeast-10 Fall 2011 Commissioner’s Honor Roll
WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University placed a conference-high 320 student-athletes on the Northeast-10 Fall 2011 Commissioner's Honor Roll, which was announced on Thursday.
A total of 2,918 student-athletes from each of the conference's 16 member institutions were recognized for their success in the classroom.
With the 320 honorees, Bentley had close to 100 more than any other institution. Stonehill College was a distant second with 229 and St. Michael's College had the third-most, 229. Bentley also led the way in terms of percentage as 64 percent of its student-athletes were recognized. Le Moyne College followed at 62 percent, and both Pace University and St. Michael's were at 60 percent.
Bentley was led by the men's track and football teams, with 44 and 42 honorees, respectively. In football, the Falcons had 18 percent of all the honorees, and in men's lacrosse, Bentley, with 33, also had 18 percent.
Athletes who had a grade point average of at least 3.0 during the fall 2011 semester were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
