1st-Team Capital One Academic All-America Honors for Nicole Dion
Former Bentley University field hockey standout Nicole Dion (Lunenburg/ Lunenburg HS), who received her Bachelor of Science degree last month, has been selected for the 2013 Capital One NCAA Division II Academic All-America® Women’s At-Large first team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Dion Earns Capital One Academic All-District Honors for 2nd Time
Bentley University senior Nicole Dion (Lunenburg/Lunenburg HS), who helped the Falcon field hockey team earn a berth in the 2012 NCAA tournament, has been named to the 2012-13 Capital One NCAA Division II Academic All-District 1 Women’s At-Large team, the second straight year she’s earned the honor.

Dion, Maguire Selected for NFHCA Division II North-South All-Star Game
Bentley University seniors Nicole Dion (Lunenburg/Lunenburg HS) and Beth Maguire (Medfield/Medfield HS) have been selected to participate in the 2012 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II North-South All-Star Game. The game will be held Saturday at 2 pm at UMass-Lowell as part of the NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship weekend.

Maguire Scores Twice, but Bentley Falls to Merrimack in NCAA Tourney
Bentley University senior and All-Northeast-10 forward Beth Maguire (Medfield/Medfield HS) scored the game’s first goal and the last one, but it wasn’t enough as second-seeded Merrimack College topped the third-seeded Falcons 3-2 in the first round of the NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championships Saturday night at Martone-Mejail Field.

After a two-year absence, the Bentley University Falcons are back in the NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championships. Coach Jessica Spencer’s team was seeded third in the North Region and will play a first-round game at number two Merrimack College Saturday evening at 6:30 pm.

Busy Start to Season for 10th-Ranked Bentley Field Hockey
There will be no easing into the 2012 season for the Bentley University field hockey team, which will be looking to get back into the NCAA Division II tournament after a two-year absence.
