WALTHAM, Mass. -- Bentley University senior forward Brian Tracey (Bow Mar, Colo./Heritage HS) has been selected to play in the 2011 Reese's Division II College All-Star Game by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
The game will be played Friday night at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, as part of Division II Elite Eight festivities. Tip-off is slated for 7 pm.
It's the latest honor for Tracey, who was previously selected first-team NABC All District, first-team Daktronics All-East Region and first-team All-Northeast-10.
The six-foot-five Tracey led the Falcons to a 24-8 season, with the team's list of accomplishments including the Norrheast-10 Conference regular season championship and a fifth straight appearance in the NCAA Division II East Regional championship game. He led the team in numerous categories, including scoring (17.2), rebounds (8.0), field goal percentage (.476), three-point accuracy (.397), free throws made (104) and free throws attempted (133). Although no official numbers are kept, he was probably also number one on the squad in charges drawn.
Tracey's season included eight double-doubles and 11 20-point games, with a career-high of 27 twice. He put up that number in a double-overtime win over American International and also had 27 against Bloomfield in his final career game, a 75-71 loss to Bloomfield in the Falcons' fifth straight regional final.
Tracey finished his career tenth in school history in career points (1547) and 11th in rebounds (6.3). He was part of Bentley teams that had a four-year record of 110-23 with three Northeast-10 regular season championships and two Elite Eight trips.
