Bentley Golf Closes Out Fall Schedule with 2nd Place Finish at Concordia

PURCHASE, N.Y. -- The Bentley University golf team completed the fall portion of its schedule Monday by placing second of five teams in the Concordia College (N.Y.) Fall Face-off at the Century Golf Club.

Bentley, with a score of 325, trailed the host team in the final results by 16 strokes. Nassau Community College, Yeshiva University and New Jersey City University also participated.

The Falcons were led by senior Alex Macielak (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs HS) and junior Grant Alter (Rancho Sante Fe, Calif./La Jolla Country Day). Macielak tied for fourth with a 79 and Alter was sixth, a stroke back. Bentley's number three man was freshman Ryan Hudson (Purchase, N.Y./ Iona Prep), who returned to his hometown to shoot an 82 in his collegiate debut.

Concordia's Jeff Schaller earned medalist honors, shooting a one-over 73 to defeat teammate Kyle Grandilli by three strokes.
