WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University rising senior Matt Michel (Danvers/Danvers HS) has been named to the 12-player 2012 Division II PING All-East Region team by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Michel, previously selected as a Capital One NCAA Division II Academic All-America (men's at-large third team), led the Falcons with a career-best 75.5 stroke average. That was an improvement of 3.6 strokes over his sophomore year performance.
During the fall position of the schedule, Michel collected both All-Northeast-10 and Division II All-New England recognition with his performance in those championships.
