WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University hockey sophomore Andrew Gladiuk (White Rock, B.C./Nanaimo Clippers) has been selected to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District 1 Men's At-Large team for Division I, it was announced on Thursday.
He's joined on the District 1 Men's At-Large Division I team by nine other student-athletes, including those that compete at institutions such as Harvard, Columbia and Cornell.
Gladiuk put up impressive offensive numbers for the Falcons this past season, while maintaining one of the team's best grade point averages at 3.85. He led the nation in power play goals with 16, setting a Bentley single-season record in the process. He ended the season with 22 goals and 15 assists for 37 points, finishing third in the Atlantic Hockey Association in goals and 13th in points.
Those numbers earned him third team All-Atlantic Hockey honors, one of six Falcons named All-Conference, and helped Bentley to second place in the Atlantic Hockey standings, its best ever finish in the conference.
Gladiuk was also named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week on Dec. 10, and had six games this season where he scored two goals.
Along with the other Academic All-District honorees, Gladiuk is now eligible to be selected to the Capital One Academic All-America Teams, which will be chosen later this month.
