    Golfer Cal Meyers (Richfield, Wisc./Slinger HS), swimmer Emily Niemiec (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Mahoney HS) and hockey standout Kyle Schmidt (Menomonee Falls, Wisc. /Sioux City Musketeers (USHL) were recently honored as the top senior-athletes in Bentley University’s Class of 2018.

    Luke Santerno (Smithers, B.C.) and Kyle Schmidt (Menomonee Falls, Wisc.) scored third period power play goals to lift Bentley to a 4-3 victory over Robert Morris in game two of the Atlantic Hockey first round Saturday night. The win tied the series 1-1 and forces a decisive game three on Sunday night.

    Sophomore Jake Kauppila (Gurnee, Ill.) scored the eventual game-winning goal 4:26 into the third period on a breakaway to snap a 2-2 tie, and the Bentley hockey team went on to defeat Army West Point 4-2 to claim its first win at Bentley Arena on Saturday night.
