Stonehill Tops Men's Soccer 4-0

Easton, Mass. – Stonehill scored three times in the second half en route to a 4-0 victory over Bentley in a Northeast-10 men's soccer matchup on Wednesday night.

The Skyhawks led just 1-0 as the match approached the 60th minute, but a goal by midfielder Keegan Nutt gave them a 2-0 lead, before the hosts scored twice in the final five minutes.

Nutt scored his second goal of the night in the 86th minute off a free kick, before midfielder Stephen Vercollone finished the scoring in the 89th minute.

Bentley had six shots on goal on the night, by six different players, by all were saved by Skyhawks goalkeeper Billy Troast.

Stonehill improved to 4-4-0 in the NE10, while Bentley dropped to 2-5-1.

The Falcons are back at home on Sunday after two straight on the road, when they host New Haven at 1:00 pm.
