Men’s Tennis Sweeps Franklin Pierce in Fall Opener

RINDGE, N.H.- Bentley University opened its fall season with a 9-0 sweep of Franklin Pierce on Wednesday in Northeast-10 men's tennis action.  Five players won both their singles and doubles matches to lead the way.

Senior Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) was among those getting his season started in strong form. He defeated Jared Taylor 6-1, 6-0 in top-flight singles, and teamed with sophomore Raghav Tanna (Burlington, Mass./Burlington) to defeat Christopher Brewer and Keith Bujak 8-5 in top-flight doubles.

The Falcons, who are now 32-2 over the last three-plus seasons in NE-10 matches, head to Philadelphia next for the ITA East Regional beginning Saturday.
