Ribeiro Wins Two Matches But Bentley Falls to Eckerd 6-3

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Senior Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) won two matches for Bentley University, but the Falcons were beaten by Eckerd 6-3 in a non-conference men's tennis match on Monday.

Ribeiro first teamed with freshman Kamil Pilch (Wroclaw, Poland/IMG Pendleton) to win in first-flight doubles over Dylan Randazzo and Stephen Felman 9-8 (7-2). However, Eckerd won the second and third flight matches to take a 2-1 lead into singles.

There, Ribeiro won again in the first-flight, besting Randazzo 6-2, 6-2. The other Falcon to win in singles was junior Andrew Waddington (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) in the fourth-flight, 6-2, 6-3 over Ben Levy.

Bentley, which falls to 3-4 on the season, faces Northeast-10 foe Adelphi tomorrow at 12:00 pm.
