Ribeiro Picks Up Fourth Northeast-10 Player of the Week Award

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University men's tennis player Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) has picked up his fourth Northeast-10 Player of the Week award of the season, the conference revealed Tuesday.

Ribeiro twice won both his top-flight singles and doubles matches during Bentley's spring break trip to Florida last week. He did it first against Eckerd, defeating Dylan Randazzo 6-2, 6-2 in singles, and combining with freshman Kamil Pilch (Wroclaw, Poland/IMG Pendleton) to defeat Randazzo and Stephen Felman in doubles 9-8 (7-2).

One day later against Adelphi, Ribeiro bested reigning NE-10 Player of the Year Andreas Hammar in singles 6-1, 6-2. He and Pilch also teamed to top Hammar and Alan Chocron in doubles 8-6.

At the completion of last week's matches, Ribeiro is 7-3 in singles played in dual matches and 6-5 in doubles. He and the Falcons resume their NE-10 schedule on Wednesday when they visit Stonehill for a 3:30 pm match.
