Ribeiro Again Named Northeast-10 Player of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – For the second week in a row and fifth time this season, Bentley University's Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) has been named the Northeast-10 Men's Tennis Player of the Week.

The Falcons played just once last week, beating NE-10 rival Stonehill, but Ribeiro had a big part in the 5-4 victory. He first teamed with freshman Kamil Pilch (Wroclaw, Poland/IMG Pendleton) to win in No. 1 doubles over Eric Ringstad and Chris Martin 9-8 (7-4). After Bentley won the other two doubles matches, they went into singles play leading 3-0.

Needing just two more points to secure the win, Ribeiro provided one of them by beating Ringstad in No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-3. Pilch won the other match in No. 3 singles, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3) over Philip Klados.

Ribeiro and the Falcons are back in action Tuesday afternoon at American International.
