Waddington, Rosa Take Northeast-10 Men's Tennis Weekly Awards

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University men's tennis players Andrew Waddington (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) and Chase Rosa (Hampton, N.H./Berwick Academy) were awarded the Northeast-10's final weekly awards of the fall season on Wednesday. Waddington was named Player of the Week, and Rosa Rookie of the Week.

Waddington, a senior, posted a combined 4-0 record as Bentley defeated Le Moyne (6-0) and Saint Michael's (9-0) last week in its final matches of the fall season.

Waddington and Rosa teamed to go 2-0 in No. 1 doubles as the pair dropped just six games combined in their two matches. Waddington was also 2-0 singles, winning in both No. 1 and No. 2 singles. He defeated Shane Evans of Le Moyne in No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-1, and defeated Nick Bosco of Saint Michael's in No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-3.

Rosa, in addition to his doubles wins with Waddington, was a 6-4, 6-2 winner over Charlie Merry of Saint Michael's in No. 4 singles.

Waddington and Rosa are the third Northeast-10 weekly winners of the fall season for Bentley, after senior Jimmy Rindo (Lowell, Mass./Lowell) was named Player of the Week Oct. 1.

Bentley finished the fall season 4-0 both overall and in NE-10 matches.
