Bentley Sweeps Saint Anselm 7-0 to Notch Another Win

Waltham, Mass. – Bentley men's tennis earned its 7th win in eight matches with a 7-0 sweep of Saint Anselm in an NE10 match on Tuesday afternoon.

Bentley started in doubles with wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 matches, as Connor Aulson (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket) and Michael Fuca (Manchester, Mass./Manchester-Essex) defeated Michael Rosen and Daniel Kmetz in No. 1 by a 7-5 score, and Mauricio Fadul (Key Biscayne, Fla.) and Alex Novins (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) blanked Sam Kluger and Ethan Hall 6-0 in No. 2.

In singles, senior Dylan Granat (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) took the No. 1 match over Hall, by a 6-4, 6-3 score. Daniel Weitz (Roslyn, N.Y./Roslyn) defeated Rosen in No. 2, and the No. 3 match saw senior Brett Gilman (Mahwah, N.J./Mahwah) drop Kluger in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. Senior Nick Hatcher (Danbury, Conn./Immaculate) also was a straight sets winner as he defeated Kmetz 6-4, 6-4 in No. 4.

The Falcons improved 9-4 overall and 2-0 NE10 with the victory, which began a stretch of five matches in seven days. Next up is a trip to Stonehill on Friday, followed by a home match with Le Moyne on Saturday.
