    For the 17th straight semester, Bentley University had the most selections for the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll with 376 Falcon student-athletes recognized for having a 3.0 or better during the spring 2017 semester.

HS) pitched five shutout innings of relief as Bentley University salvaged the finale of a four-game series with Saint Anselm, 5-4, in college softball action Sunday afternoon.

    Freshman second baseman Julie Slavin (Rocky Hill, Conn./Rocky Hill HS) drove in eight runs, four in each game, during a 6-for-9 afternoon, leading Bentley University to a doubleheader sweep of Franklin Pierce University in Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division softball Saturday afternoon at the Bisaccia Softball Complex. The Falcons hung on for an 11-8 win in the opener and took the nightcap 10-6.

    Bentley University senior left fielder Kelsey Kennedy (Bedford, N.H./Bedford HS) had both her 100th career hit and a go-ahead sacrifice fly in the seventh, but it wasn’t enough as the Falcons dropped a 6-5 decision to Franklin Pierce University Friday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division softball at the Bisaccia Softball Complex.

    All-America third baseman Brenna Martini (Fairfield, Conn.) and junior Nicole Camera (Metuchen, N.J.) hit back-to-back homers in the opener and Camera also went deep in the nightcap as Adelphi University blanked Bentley University, 9-0 and 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference women’s softball Saturday afternoon at Bentley. The opener was stopped after six innings.

    After winning four of its previous five games, the Bentley University softball dropped a pair on Thursday in non-conference action at the Sleepy Hollow Field with the Falcons blanked by Winona State, 10-0, and topped by the University of Bridgeport, 9-1. Both games ended after five innings due to the eight-run rule.
