WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University senior leftfielder Kelsey Kennedy (Bedford, N.H./ Bedford HS) has added to her list of postseason accolades with selection to the 2017 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II All-East Region second team.

Previously, the CoSIDA Academic All-America® nominee has been named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference second team and the CoSIDA Division II Academic All-District 1 team.

Kennedy batted a lofty .385, sixth best in the Northeast-10 and the best by a Falcon in more than 20 years. She posted a .425 on base percentage and batted .394 with runners in scoring position, including a perfect 2-for-2 with the bases loaded. Her 42 hits included five doubles and a triple, and she also led the team in runs scored (18) and RBI (17).

Kennedy had 11 multi-hit games, including a 4-for-4 effort Mar. 8 against Minnesota State-Moorhead. That came during a five-game stretch in which she was 11 for 17. She finished the season by hitting safely in 15 of the final 17 games.

Kennedy, Bentley's leading hitter for the second straight year, improved on her previous season's average each season and finished her career with a .322 average, ninth best in program history, and 119 hits, 11th most by a Falcon.
