HS), enabled Bentley University to win all three games from St. Michael’s College Saturday in Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division softball.

    A two-run walk-off single down the left field line by sophomore left fielder Maggie Murphy (Scarborough, Maine) erased a 1-0 Bentley University lead and gave Saint Anselm College a 2-1 game two victory and a sweep of their Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division softball doubleheader at the South Athletic Field Saturday afternoon.

    Le Moyne College senior right-hander Alexis Eastman (Endicott, N.Y.) pitched 10.1 scoreless innings and was the winning pitcher in both ends of the doubleheader as the Dolphins swept Bentley University, 5-0 and 2-1, in Northeast-10 Conference softball at Bentley Saturday afternoon. The second game lasted eight innings.

    Sophomore Megan Butts (West Chester, Pa.) pitched a four-hitter in game one and classmate Kyle Stonebraker (Mechanicsville, Va.) followed with a one-hit shutout in the nightcap as the University of New Haven swept Bentley University, 3-1 and 11-0, in Northeast-10 Conference softball Sunday afternoon at the New Haven softball field. Game two was halted after five innings due to the eight-run rule.

    Sophomore right fielder Stacey Korotsky (Raynham/Bridgewater-Raynham HS), who had two hits earlier in the game, drew a bases-loaded walk in the top of the seventh to break a 2-2 tie and propel Bentley University to a 4-2 Northeast-10 Conference win over Merrimack College, the 24th-ranked team in Division II, in college softball action Tuesday afternoon on the inaugural game on Merrimack’s new field.

  • Bentley Tops NCAA Academic Success Rate Report, Receives President’s Award for Academic Excellence

    Bentley University is tied for number one nationally in the latest NCAA Division II Academic Success Rate report. Of the three institutions who shared the top spot with a 98 percent ASR, Bentley is the only one that has a football program. In recognition of having a four-year ASR of 90 or better, Bentley received a “Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence” from the NCAA.
