    After Bentley University broke a scoreless deadlock with a run in the top of the eighth, the Rollins College Tars countered with two in the bottom of the eighth to post a 2-1 extra-inning victory over the Falcons in non-conference college softball action Saturday morning at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park.

    Freshman righty Ashley Worrell (Oviedo, Fla.) pitched a three-hit shutout in the opener and senior righty Abby Summers (Weston, Mo.) followed with a one-hitter in the nightcap as Rollins College swept Bentley University, 3-0 and 4-1, in non-conference college softball Friday night Martin Luther King Jr. Park.

    For the 20th consecutive semester, Bentley University had the most selections for the Northeast-10 Conference Academic Honor Roll (formerly known as the Commissioner’s Honor Roll) with 381 student-athletes recognized for having a 3.0 or better grade point average during the fall 2018 semester.

    With five of the team’s top six RBI producers and the entire pitching staff returning, the Bentley University Falcons have been ranked fifth in the Northeast-10 Conference softball preseason coaches’ poll for the Northeast-10 Division.
  • Bentley Student-Athletes Have Highest Graduation Rate in Division II

    For the second straight year, Bentley University is ranked number one nationally in the latest NCAA Division II Academic Success Rate report, which was announced today. Bentley, with its highest ASR in the 13 years that the NCAA has been compiling the data, was alone at the top of the rankings, two points above the five institutions tied for second, after sharing the top position a year ago. This was the fifth straight year that Bentley has achieved an ASR of 97 or better and the eighth straight they’ve been above 90.
  • 3 Bentley Softball Players Receive All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors from the NFCA

    Three members of the 2018 Bentley University softball team, including recent graduate Jordan Ballantyne (Hopewell Junction, N.Y./Arlington HS), have received Scholar All-America honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
