Behind five goals from sophomore attack Kathleen Conese and four from junior attack Kelly Condon, No. 1 Le Moyne defeated Bentley 12-2 in the Northeast-10 Women’s Lacrosse semifinals on Saturday in Syracuse.

Junior Taylor Bastien (North Kingstown, R.I./North Kingstown) broke an eight-all tie with 31 seconds left to lift Bentley to a 9-8 victory over New Haven in the quarterfinals of the Northeast-10 Women’s Lacrosse Championships Wednesday night.

Powered by four goals from junior Cori Geiger (Agawam, Mass./Agawam HS), Bentley University clinched a berth in the Northeast-10 Conference women's lacrosse tournament with a 12-9 win over Saint Anselm College on Tuesday evening in a matchup of two nationally ranked squads at Grappone Stadium.

For the fourth straight week the Bentley University women’s lacrosse team is ranked No. 8 in the IWLCA’s Division II Poll. The Falcons have won five straight games and host No. 2 Adelphi on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

For the second time this season, Bentley sophomore goalie Ally Dorman (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) has been named the Northeast-10 Women’s Lacrosse Goalie of the Week following three wins by the eighth-ranked Falcons last week.

Bentley University withstood a furious second half rally from Queens (N.Y.) to hang on for a 9-8 victory, the Falcons’ fifth straight, on Sunday in a non-conference women’s lacrosse contest.

No. 8 Bentley Starts Fast and Tops Assumption 13-8
The eighth-ranked Bentley women’s lacrosse team led 7-1 at halftime and 11-3 after 50 minutes on its way to a fourth straight win and fifth in six games with a 13-8 victory over Assumption on Saturday in Northeast-10 play. Sophomore goalie Ally Dorman (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) made a career-high 21 saves.

The 11th-ranked Bentley University women’s lacrosse team won its third straight game, and second over a ranked team in three days, with a 13-8 victory over No. 13 Dowling on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.

11-th ranked Bentley scored seven of the game’s first eight goals on its way to a 15-8 win over 14th-ranked Molloy on Friday night in a non-conference women’s lacrosse match. Junior Cori Geiger (Agawam, Mass./Agawam) scored her 100th career goal in the win and sophomore goalie Ally Dorman (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) made 18 saves.

No.3 C.W. Post scored 11 goals in the first half on its way to an 18-3 win over No. 11 Bentley in the Falcons’ home-opener on Sunday afternoon in non-conference women’s lacrosse. Sophomore Jackie Sileo had four goals and four assists for the Pioneers.

A busy Friday in Bentley University athletics features Day 1 of the 2012 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball East Regional at the Dana Center. The defending champion Bentley Falcons will begin defense of their title against the University of the District of Columbia at 6 pm, but that’s only one of four games being played today at the Dana Center. Hockey opens an Atlantic Hockey playoff series at RIT, women's track standout Amy Varsell will compete in the NCAA Div. II Indoor Championships and women's lacrosse will be facing the nation's No. 1 ranked Division II tea,.

No. 12 Women’s Lacrosse Game at No. 1 Le Moyne Postponed
Friday afternoon’s women’s lacrosse game between the 12th-ranked Bentley Falcons and top-ranked Le Moyne Dolphins in Syracuse got underway, but after playing the first 19:37, the game had be postponed due to snow. The score and statistics from the game will not count, and the game will be replayed from the beginning at a later date.

Sophomore middle Chelsea Larivee (Amherst, N.H./Souhegan HS) scored three times and junior Taylor Bastien (North Kingstown, R.I./North Kingstown HS) delivered five assists as Bentley University, ranked 12th in Division II, opened its season with a 16-3 win at Southern Connecticut State in Northeast-10 Conference women’s lacrosse Tuesday night.

WALTHAM, Mass. - Senior Bentley women’s lacrosse players Maureen Fields (Pittsfield, Mass./Pittsfield) and Stephanie LaRocca (San Jose, Calif./Notre Dame Academy) have been named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Division II Academic Honor Roll for their work in the classroom last year.
