WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University women's lacrosse team has been voted 13th in US Lacrosse Magazine's Preseason Poll. The Falcons will get their season underway on March 6 against Grand Valley State in Maryland.

The Falcons are coming off a record setting season in 2016, which saw them tie the program record for wins with 13, and set a new program record with an 11-game winning streak. They advanced to the Northeast-10 semifinals for the first time since 2012, after they defeated rival Stonehill 9-8 in the quarterfinals.

4th year head coach Kerry Hausdorf will welcome back 17 players from last year's squad. Included in that group are senior All-American goalie Lauren Ochs (Rochester, N.Y./Irondequoit), and senior attacker Hannah Lindgren (Southborough, Mass./Algonquin), who was named 3rd team All-Northeast-10 in 2016 and led the squad in each of goals (43), assists (22) and points (65).

The Falcons are one of seven Northeast-10 teams in the preseason top-20. Adelphi is the highest ranked NE10 team, while Florida Southern is the preseason No. 1 team.
