Dowling Defeats Women’s Soccer 2-0 in Non-Conference Game

 BROOKHAVEN, N.Y. – Dowling College scored a goal in each half on its way to a 2-0 victory over the Bentley University women's soccer team in a non-conference match Tuesday afternoon.

In the first game of a five-game road swing for the Falcons, Dowling grabbed a 1-0 lead on senior Megan Emanuelo's goal in the 25th minute. Emanuelo took a feed from sophomore Katie Murphy and shot from 20 yards out for her fourth goal of the year.
Junior Kristy Vitale made it 2-0 in the 61st minute with an unassisted goal, placing her shot from 20 yards into the far left corner of the net.
The win is the fourth straight for Dowling, who improve to 7-2 on the year, while the Falcons have dropped two straight and fall to 4-5.
Bentley continues its road trip Saturday afternoon at Adelphi. Game time is 2:00 p.m.
