A former goalkeeper at Salem State University, Abigail DeAngelo will begin her first season as an assistant coach on head coach Lauren Lukis’ staff in 2011.

Prior to joining Bentley, DeAngelo was an assistant coach for the girls’ soccer team at Lowell High School for three seasons. She’s earned Level I and Level II goalkeeper licenses from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

DeAngelo currently is an assistant coach for the club team Pasa FC based in Westford, Mass., and this summer she worked at the Star Goalkeeper Academy in South Glastonbury, Conn.

During her time as a player, the Lowell native was named first team All-Conference by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference as a senior. DeAngelo graduated from Salem State with a degree in psychology.
