  • Walsh, Edwards & Denehy Honored by Northeast-10

    The Northeast-10 Conference announced its postseason swimming and diving awards with two Bentley University student-athletes among those receiving hardware for their achievements during the 2011-12 season. Senior Mike Walsh (South Salem, N.Y./John Jay HS) was named the conference’s Men’s Diver of the Year and freshman Nadine Edwards (Danbury, Conn./Danbury HS) was selected by the NE-10 coaches as the Women’s Rookie of the Year. In addition, Rick Danehy was recognized as the Men’s Diving Coach of the Year for the third time in four years.
  • Five Members of Bentley Swim Teams Earn Academic All-Northeast-10 Honors

    Five members of the Bentley University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams, including three-time honoree and co-captain Joe Frantel (Canandaigua, N.Y./Marcus Whitman HS), were named to the 2011-12 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference team for swimming. Also recognized were seniors Chris Argiros (Marblehead/Marblehead HS) and Matt Wessels (Epsom, N.H./Bishop Brady HS), junior Abby Mathews (Chelmsford/ Chelmsford HS) and sophomore Caroline Lewis (Westfield/Westfield HS).
  • Hodsdon Completes Trip to NCAA Championships with 28th Place in 200 Breast

    Bentley University’s Jessica Hodsdon (Brewer, Maine/Brewer HS) completed her junior year by placing 28th in the 200 yard breaststoke during the final day of competition in the 2012 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships at the Mansfield ISD Natatorium Saturday.

    Sophomore Paige Wilde (Naugatuck, Conn.) and senior Mike Walsh (South Salem, N.Y./John Jay HS) represented Bentley University Tuesday when the NCAA Division II pre-qualifying diving meet was held at the Mansfield ISD Natatorium.

    Bentley University junior George Go (Manila, Philippines) was named the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week on Monday, and the conference’s Rookie of the Week Awards went to Bentley freshmen Nadine Edwards (Danbury, Conn./Danbury HS) and Connor Mulvey-Hudson (Ardmore, Pa./St. Joseph’s Prep).
