UTampa Tops Women’s Tennis 8-1

TAMPA, Fla. – The Bentley University women's tennis team suffered an 8-1 setback to the University of Tampa on Thursday in non-conference action.

Junior Katie Van Gilst (Harwinton, Conn./Lewis S. Mills) picked up the Falcons' win, defeating freshman Chloe Pereira in No. 6 singles, 6-3, 6-1.

The Spartans go to 4-6 with the win, while the Falcons fall to 3-5. Bentley returns to the court Friday at Saint Leo for a 3:00 p.m. start
