Adelphi Runs Winning Streak to Four with Win over Bentley

Oceanside, N.Y. – Adelphi University ran its winning streak to four matches with a 6-0 victory over visiting Bentley University in a Norhteast-10 match on Tuesday afternoon.

The match, originally scheduled for Sept. 9, was played indoors at the Pont Set Racket Club in Oceanside, N.Y.

The Panthers won the two contested doubles matches by scores of 6-0 and 6-1 to take the doubles point.

In singles, Adelphi won all five matches to complete the victory. In the No. 1 match, Bentley's senior captain Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) battled sophomore Nicole Kielan in a three setter. Fabianski won the first set, 6-2, but Kielan bounced back in the second set, 6-2. Kielan then won the third set tiebreak, 10-5.

Bentley now turns its sights to Friday's Senior Day match against Saint Anselm, where Fabianski will be recognized prior to the match. First serve is set for 3:00 pm.
