Senior running back majoring in finance …prior to this season, appeared in 23 games with 421 rushing yards, 469 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns … one of 11 players on this year’s team from the state of New York.

2018: Was Falcons’ number two rusher with 379 yards and five touchdowns in 104 carries … season featured exactly 100 rushing yards on 22 carries Oct. 20 against Stonehill … also had a 19-yard pass reception against the Skyhawks … scored first two career TDs Sept. 29 at New Haven and finished with 52 yards in ten carries … 18 of his carries resulted in first downs ... started five of the last six games.

2017: Saw action in nine games … carried the ball four times for 22 yards … returned two punts for an average of 8.5 yards … against Pace on Sept. 30, gained 23 yards on two carries, including one for 17 yards.

2016: Appeared in four contests as a freshman, rushing for 20 yards on nine carries … most of those came Oct. 1 against Pace when he totaled 20 yards on six carries with a long of 11.

Before Bentley: 2016 graduate of Hendrick Hudson High School where he competed in football, lacrosse, track and field, and wrestling … 2016 Hendrick Hudson School-Rotary Male Athlete of the Year … earned Division I all-league honors as a junior and senior, and was also an All-Section honoree as a senior … two-time team MVP … football team captain as a senior … played in Exceptional Senior All-Star game for Division I … two-time team captain in wrestling … 2016 Section 1 Division 2 wrestling champion at 182 pounds, reaching the state championships  … received all-league, all-conference and all-section honors in wrestling … Offense-Defense camp MVP in both 2014 and 2015 … graduated with Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation.

Personal: Age as of Sept. 1: 21 … son of Clara Montague and Westley Artope … has one brother, Chanse Artope (16) … was a peer leader as a junior and senior in high school … graduated with Regents Diploma with Advanced Distinction.
