Granat Named NE10 Men’s Tennis Player of the Week

Waltham, Mass. – Bentley University's Dylan Granat (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) was named the NE10 Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday, for the week ending April 21st.

Granat was a perfect 6-0 to help Bentley to a 3-0 week as a team, with wins over NE10 rivals St. Michael's and Adelphi, and a non-conference win over Post University. Granat was 3-0 at No. 1 singles, and won all three matches in straight sets. He was also 3-0 at No. 1 doubles with partner Michael Fuca.

Fuca was named to the NE10 Honor Roll for the week. In addition to his 3-0 doubles record, he was 3-0 in singles with a win in No. 2 against St. Michael's and wins in No. 3 against Post and Adelphi.

In the Falcons' win over the Purple Knights on April 17, Granat was a 6-0, 6-1 winner in singles. Against Adelphi on the 20th, he claimed a 7-5, 7-5 victory. In doubles, he and Fuca won their match against St. Michael's 6-0, and 6-4 against both Post and Adelphi.

It's the second time Granat has been named Player of the Week in his career. He has played all 20 of his singles matches this season at No. 1.

Granat and the Falcons are taking on Merrimack today and have already clinched a spot in the NE10 playoffs.
