MEDFORD, Mass. -- Seniors Sean Reagan (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus HS) and Tim Walant (Nashua, N.H./Nashua North HS) each turned in winning performances while competing for the Bentley University men's outdoor track team in less than ideal weather conditions at the Tufts University Spring Invitational.

Reagan ran to victory in the 3,000 meters, posting a time of 9:22.54, and Walant was first to the finish line in both the 110 meter high hurdles (16.65 seconds) and the 400 hurdles (1:00.67). In the latter event, Walant was followed by sophomore teammate Grant Nolan (Concord, N.H./Concord HS), who finished in 1:01.56.

In the 800 meters, junior Dan Fava (Malden/Malden Catholic HS) posted Bentley's fastest time of the year, finishing second in 1:56.48. He trailed Paul DeSalvo, running unattached, by 0.71 seconds. Senior Dan O'Connell (Medfield/Medfield HS) placed fourth in 2:00.92.

Third-place finishes were recorded by freshman Eric Kennedy (West Hartford, Conn./Northwest Catholic HS) in the 100 meters (11.81), sophomore Craig Robinson (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough HS) in the 1500 (4:10.26) and junior Steven Long (Allston/Newton North HS) in the shot put (39 feet, 8.5 inches).

Senior James Roche (Arlington/Arlington HS) ran to a fourth in the 400 meters (53.39 seconds), and classmate Marcus Chang (West Newton/Newton North HS) was fourth in the discus (121 feet). Chang was also sixth in the shot (36 feet, 5 inches), and Long was fifth in the discus (119 feet, 7 inches).

Senior Shaun Paquin (Nashua, N.H./Nashua South HS) registered a fifth-place finish in the 200 meters (24.40) and junior Andrew Foley (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) was sixth in both the 200 (24.66) and the 400 (53.97).

There was no scoring in the multi-team meet that included Tufts, Merrimack, UMass-Lowell and numerous club teams.

Friday night, at the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton University, sophomore John Drago (Avon, Conn./Avon HS) set a PR with a time of 14:53.50 as he finished 11th of 28 in his heat and 91st of 153 overall.
