BOSTON, Mass. – Powered by top-100 finishes from juniors Graham Chapski (East Greenwich, R.I./East Greenwich HS) and Ryan Cadorette (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy), the Bentley University men's cross country team posted its highest finish since 2012 during Saturday's New England Championships at Franklin Park.

Bentley placed 20th overall in a field of 34, improving on last year's finish by three places. With a score of 568, the Falcons were third of ninth among Division II institutions, trailing American International College (6th, 188) and Stonehill College (12th, 300).

Chapski was 83rd among 221 competitors with his 8,000-meter time of 26:15.40 an improvement of about 55 seconds from his performance in the 2015 New Englands. Cadorette followed in 98th place, reaching the line in 26:28.07.

Also scoring for the Falcons were senior Erik Alatalo (Wilmington/Wilmington HS) in 104th (26:36.21), classmate Nik Haas (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey HS) in 125th (26:48.90) and freshman Thomas Abraham (Lowell/Lowell HS) in 158th (27:12.94).

Northeastern University outran Brown University 102-113 for team honors and the individual champion was AIC's Leakey Kipkosgei in 24:21.56.

Bentley's next action will be the Northeast-10 Championships at Stonehill College Oct. 22.
