  • 10 Bentley Teams & 348 Student-Athletes Recognized by Northeast-10 for Academic Excellence

    A record ten Bentley University teams have received 2014-15 Team Academic Excellence Awards from the Northeast-10 Conference, an award presented to the program in each of the conference’s 24 sports that achieved the highest grade point average.
  • Boston Globe West Features Former Falcon Kristen (Godfrey) Brown

    In its "Catching up with" series, the Boston Globe West recently featured former Bentley sprinter Kristen (Godfrey) Brown. Brown, now married to former Bentley football captain Bryan Brown, still holds a couple school records.

    Two Bentley University track and field athletes, junior Sarah Brennan (Quincy/Notre Dame Acad.) and freshman Holt Sihvoven (Lebanon, Conn./Lyman Memorial HS), have been selected for Division II All-East Region honors by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

    A school record by junior Samantha Albanese (Lynnfield/Lynnfield HS) and a seventh-place finish by the men’s 4x800 relay team were among the top performances for the Bentley University track and field team as the 2015 New England Championships concluded Saturday at MIT’s Steinbrenner Stadium.

    Bentley University junior Sarah Brennan (Quincy, Mass./Notre Dame Academy) posted the highest finish achieved by a Falcon student-athlete on Saturday when she ran to second place in the 5,000 meters during the second and final day of the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Championships at Southern Connecticut State University.
  • Carlson Places 5th in Javelin at Northeast-10 Championships

    Bentley University freshman Holt Sihvonen (Lebanon, Conn./Lyman Memorial HS) earned second-team All-Conference honors by virtue of his second-place finish in the javelin during day one of the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships Friday at Southern Connecticut State. The highest finish for the Bentley women also came in the javelin with senior Jacqueline Carlson (Kensington, Conn./Berlin HS) placing fifth with a 111’8” throw.
  • Bentley Falcons Set for Northeast-10 Outdoor Track Championships Friday and Saturday

    Fifteen members of the Bentley University men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams are listed in the top ten of their respective events for this weekend’s Northeast-10 Conference Championships, which will be held at Southern Connecticut State University. Individual field events get underway Friday afternoon at 2 pm and the first track event is scheduled for 3:30 pm.

    Three members of the Bentley University outdoor track and field team, including junior distance runner Sarah Brennan (Quincy/Notre Dame Academy), have received weekly honors from the Northeast-10 Conference for their performance in last Friday’s Stonehill Skyhawk Invitational. Brennan was cited as the NE-10 Women’s Track Athlete of the Week, freshman Holt Sihvonen (Lebanon, Conn./Lyman Memorial HS) received a third consecutive NE-10 Men’s Field Rookie of the Week honor, and freshman Nick Skarin (Sunapee, N.H./Sunapee HS) was the choice as the NE-10 Men’s Track Rookie of the Week.

    A school record by senior Tatiana Froehlich (Newton/Newton HS) and a fifth-place finish by junior Sarah Brennan (Quincy/Notre Dame Academy) topped the list of performances for the Bentley University women’s track and field team Friday night during Stonehill College’s Skyhawk Invitational at W.B. Mason Stadium.
  • Carlson’s Javelin Throw Leads Bentley during MIT Sean Collier Invitational

    Senior Jacqueline Carlson (Kensington, Conn./Berlin HS) had the highest finish for a member of the Bentley University women’s outdoor track and field team during Saturday’s Sean Collier Invitational at MIT’s Henry Steinbrenner Stadium as she was fourth out of 27 in the javelin, posting a best throw of 111’3.25”.
  • Froehlich Breaks School Record in Hammer Again

    For the second straight week, Bentley University senior Tatiana Froehlich (Newton, Mass./Newton North HS) broke her own school record in the hammer throw while competing for the Falcon women’s outdoor track and field team in the Silfen Invitational at Connectucit College.
  • Haas & Albanese Post Bentley’s Top Finishes during Silfen Distance Invitational

    Sophomore Nik Haas (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey HS) and junior Samantha Albanese (Lynnfield, Mass./Lynnfield HS) had the highest finishes for the Bentley University outdoor track team during Friday night’s Silfen Distance Invitational at Connecticut College. Each was fourth of 12 in their respective event.

    Competing in the event for the first time indoors, Bentley University senior Tara Dooley (Lee/Lee HS) posted the second fastest 10,000-meter time in program history late Friday night during the David Hemery Valentine’s Invitational at Boston University’s Track and Tennis Center.

    MEDFORD, Mass. – Senior Brynnan Farrington (Shirley/Ayer HS) had the highest finish for a member of the Bentley University women’s track and field team during Saturday’s Tufts Cupid Challenge at the Ganther Center. In a field of 47, Farrington finished fifth in the shot put with a throw of 37 feet, 5.75 inches.

    Senior Brynnan Farrington (Shirley/Ayer HS) had the highest finish for a member of the Bentley University women’s indoor track and field team during Saturday’s Tufts Stampede Classic at the Gantcher Center as she placed sixth out of 42 competitors in the shot put with a throw of 37 feet, 2.5 inches.
