PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Senior co-captain Grace Conner (Santa Barbara, Calif./San Marcos HS) continued her strong hitting, with 11 kills and no errors, and sophomore Kelsey Bucker (San Marino, Calif./San Marino HS) had a team-high 13 kills as the Bentley University women's volleyball team completed a successful weekend trip to New York with a 3-1 Northeast-10 Conference win over Pace University Saturday afternoon at the Goldstein Recreation Center.

Bentley, which bested Nyack College in four sets Friday night, went 2-0 on the weekend and Conner was a major reason for that success. She hit .733 in the 25-22, 18-25, 25-23, 25-20 win over the Setters and for the weekend, amassed 21 kills and no errors in 31 swings, a sensational .677 success rate.

Three Falcons tied career-bests in the match with sophomore Lauren Colasanti (Northville, Mich./Northville HS) making 24 digs, freshman Kyana Miller (San Diego, Calif./Canyon Crest Acad.) recording 40 assists and sophomore Simone Silvera (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook HS) involved in all seven of Bentley's blocks.

Miller's stat line also included eight digs, four kills and a pair of aces, and Silvera put down eight kills. Buckner complemented her 13 kills with eight digs and two blocks defensively.

In the three sets Bentley won, the Falcons finished each one with a surge following a late tie. Kills by Conner and sophomore Tatiana Froehlich (Newton, Mass./Newton North HS) ignited a 5-2 ending run in the first. The third was even at 23 apiece before kills from Buckner and Conner put the Falcons up 2-1, and in the final set, kills by Miller, Froehlich and Buckner finished a match-ending 7-2 spurt after the two clubs were even at 18.

Bentley hit .280 in the match, a season-best, and allowed a season-low two blocks to the Setters (6-11, 0-1 NE-10).

Pace was led by senior Nora Rugava (Mt. Kisco, N.Y.), with 13 kills and 12 digs, and freshman Megan Kurz (San Diego, Calif.), with 12 kills and a .400 hitting percentage.

Bentley (5-9, 1-2 NE-10) will look to make it three in a row when it hosts Saint Anselm College on Tuesday evening.
