WATERBURY, Conn. – Sophomore Kirsten Segaline (Scottsdale, Ariz./Desert Mountain HS) put down a career-high 22 kills and senior co-captain Krista Campbell (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North HS) amassed a career-best 56 assists as the duo led the Bentley University women's volleyball team to a 3-2 win over formerly 7-2 New York Institute of Technology Sunday afternoon during the Post Eagles Invitational at the Drubner Center.

In its second match of the day, Bentley picked up its third win of the tournament with a three-set sweep of Caldwell College. Sophomore Mallory Burbage (Bow Mar, Colo./Littleton HS) led the way with 15 kills and a .438 hitting percentage.

The NYIT match came down to the final set after Bentley took the first two, 25-22 and 27-25, and the Bears came back to take the next two, 25-17 and 25-23.

In the fifth, the Falcons were down 11-10 before using a 5-2 spurt to capture the match, 15-13. Appropriately, match point came on a Segaline kill set by Campbell.

Segaline (.353 hitting percentage) completed her double-double with ten digs and the Falcons also received a 13-kill, 18-dig double-double from Burbage. Senior Rachel Bruno (San Diego, Calif./ Francis Parker School) hit .520 with 14 kills and freshman Shannon Ngo (San Rafael, Calif./Terra Linda HS) provided a career-best 11 kills.

For NYIT, senior Tiffany Verni (Patchogue, N.Y.) had a match-high 24 kills.

Led by Burbage, Bentley disposed of Caldwell (2-8) by scores of 25-18, 25-18 and 25-21.

Bruno (9 kills, 3 blocks, .571) had another solid performance. Ngo helped with five blocks and junior setter Xio Lopp (Kalispell, Mont./Flathead HS) provided 24 assists as the Falcons improved to 4-6.
