    A standout season for the Bentley University women’s volleyball team came, which included Northeast-10 Conference regular season and tournament championships, came to a disappointing end Friday afternoon when the second-seeded Falcons were upended by seventh-seeded Holy Family University, 3-1, in the NCAA Division II East Regional quarterfinals at Molloy College’s Quealy Hall.

    Nearly two weeks after capturing the Northeast-10 Conference championship with a pair of come-from-behind five-set victories, the Bentley University Falcons will return to the court Thursday afternoon on Long Island when they take on Holy Family University in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II East Region at Molloy College’s Quealy Hall.     Senior All-Conference outside hitter Dani Milner (Plano, Texas/The Greenhill School) made a season-high 21 kills and combined with sophomore forward Shannon Ngo (San Rafael, Calif./Terra Linda HS) and senior All-Conference middle Rachel Bruno (San Diego, Calif./Francis Parker School) for 47 kills and only four errors as top-seeded Bentley University outlasted number four Saint Anselm College in five sets in the semifinals of the Northeast-10 Conference Women’s Volleyball Championships Friday night at the Dana Center.

    After capturing the regular season title and posting a 3-1 quarterfinal win over Southern Connecticut State Tuesday, the Bentley University women’s volleyball will look to continue their successful season Friday night against fourth-seeded Saint Anselm College at the Dana Center in the Northeast-10 Conference semifinals.     Senior Dani Milner (Plano, Texas/The Greenhill School) celebrated Senior Day with 16 kills and freshman Ingrid Murphy (Cotuit/Barnstable HS) added 13 as Bentley University wrapped up its first outright Northeast-10 Conference regular season championship since 2005 with a three-set sweep of Pace University Friday night at the Dana Center. Scores were 25-22, 25-15 and 25-19.

    Double-doubles by Ingrid Murphy (Cotuit/Barnstable HS), Xio Lopp (Kalispell, Mont./Flathead HS) and Dani Milner (Plano, Texas/The Greenhill School) propelled Bentley University to a 3-1 victory over the University of New Haven in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Thursday night at the Dana Center. The scores were 25-17, 25-21, 20-25 and 25-11.

    The Bentley University women’s volleyball, the number two-ranked team in the NCAA Division II East Region, suffered its first loss in more than 50 days as the Falcons were taken down in four sets by American International College in Northeast-10 Conference action Friday night at the Butova Gym. Scores were 25-23, 19-25, 25-23 and 25-13.

Scores were 25-20, 25-19 and 25-19.

  • Bentley Student-Athletes Once Again Have Highest Graduation Rate in Division II

    For the third straight year, Bentley University is ranked number one nationally in the latest NCAA Division II Academic Success Rate report, which was announced this week. Bentley, which shared the top spot in 2017, was the only institution to record an ASR of 99 for the second straight year. This marks the sixth straight year that Bentley has achieved an ASR of 97 or better and the ninth straight it was been above 90.

The scores were 23-25, 25-18, 25-15 and 28-26.
  • Lopp Garners Northeast-10 Setter of the Week Honors

    Bentley University senior Xio Lopp (Kalispell, Mont./Flathead HS) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Setter of the Week for her outstanding performance in a pair of Falcon victories. She’s the first Falcon to receive the award since Alex Tator in October 2014.

Scores were 26-24, 25-15, 16-25 and 25-19.

    With seven different players amassing between four and seven kills, the winning streak for the Bentley University women’s volleyball grew to eight as the Falcons swept Assumption College in a non-conference match at Laska Gym Friday night. Scores were 25-21, 25-14 and 25-15.

The scores were 25-21, 27-25, 23-25, 16-25 and 15-11.
  • Bentley Sweeps Mercy & AIC, Extends Win Streak to 6

    The Bentley University women’s volleyball team extended its streak of 3-0 victories to six with victories over Mercy College and American International College Saturday at Victory Gym. The Falcons soared past Mercy, 25-19, 25-21 and 25-19, and earned a 25-22, 25-21, 25-18 non-conference win over AIC.
