Senior right-hander Robert Nixon (Welland, Ont.) pitched a rain-shortened five-hit shutout and right fielder Omar Velazquez (Astoria, N.Y.) singled and scored twice as Adelphi University topped Bentley University, 4-0, in the first game of a scheduled Northeast-10 Conference baseball doubleheader Saturday at DeFelice Field.

An 11th-inning RBI double by senior right fielder Mike Foley (Worcester), his fourth hit of the day, broke a 4-4 tie and lifted Assumption College to a 5-4 win over Bentley University in Northeast-10 Conference baseball Friday afternoon at DeFelice Field.

The Chargers had taken the first game by a count of 7-1.

Freshman left fielder Albert Stanton (Sandwich, Mass.) and sophomore shortstop Matt Boulter (Wrentham, Mass.) each drove in three runs as Southern New Hampshire University erupted for 11 runs in the first four innings and went on to a 15-7 win over Bentley University in Northeast-10 Conference baseball Friday afternoon at Penmen Field.

Thursday’s Bentley University baseball game at Southern New Hampshire has been rained out and rescheduled for 3:30 pm Friday.

Freshman second baseman Jamie Wollerman (Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.) had four hits and grad student Chris O’Neil (Chelmsford) slammed a two-run triple during a three-run first inning as Southern New Hampshire handed Bentley University a 6-2 loss in Northeast-10 Conference baseball at DeFelice Field Tuesday afternoon.
