OVERVIEW

The Bentley University Dance Team is a committed group of student-athletes who represent the university through performance, competition and campus involvement. The team performs at all home football games during the fall season and at both men’s and women’s home basketball games in the winter. The season runs from September through April and the team practices three times a week, with a focus on game-day material, technical training, and competition preparation.

In addition to game day performances, the team competes in both Jazz and Pom at regional and national levels. The Bentley Dance Team has participated in NDA Nationals for the past three consecutive years, advancing to the finals in both categories during its first and most recent seasons.

The Bentley Dance Team is proud to represent Bentley University with excellence and dedication both on and off the stage.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS

During the most recent competition season, the team earned top-five finishes in both Jazz and Pom, marking the highest rankings in the program’s history. The team also competes at regional competitions such as UDA Regionals, where it placed second in Pom and third in Jazz last season.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

The team is actively engaged in outreach and fundraising throughout the academic year.

Each fall, the Bentley Dance Team hosts a clinic for high school dancers interested in collegiate-level dance. The clinic introduces participants to game day sideline routines and foundational Jazz and Pom technique, offering insight into the expectations and environment of a college dance team.

The team also organizes fundraising events, including its annual “Dancing with the Stars” showcase, which features students and faculty from Bentley. Last year, this event raised over $2,000 in support of team activities and competition expenses.
