Athletic Communications serves a liaison between Bentley's 23 NCAA programs, the general public and internal Bentley University departments. We are here to publicize the programs, maintain BentleyFalcons.com on a daily basis, publicize the Bentley Athletics programs, provide statistical compilation and reporting, maintain historical research and records, game photography, live broadcasts, game notes, programs, media guides and the Bentley Athletics Hall of Fame.
We work on behalf of our student athletes, coaches and the University to serve local, national, and on campus media; alumni, parents, and supporters; the Northeast-10 Conference, the Atlantic Hockey Conference; the NCAA; and competing institutions. Results are reported to a number of media outlets including the Boston Globe and the Boston Herald. Hometown newspapers of student-athletes are contacted on a regular basis.
Policies & Procedures
- Interview Requests:
- All interviews must be coordinated through the Athletics Communications Office and must be requested at least 24 hours in advance. Player or coach interviews should be requested through the media contact for each sport. Team locker rooms and training rooms are off limits to media representatives at all times. Media may not contact current student-athletes directly under any circumstances.
- Postgame interviews with coaches and athletes are coordinated through the athletics communications staff. Typically, requested student-athletes and coaches will be made available on the playing surface or in a designated media area following a 10-15 minute cool-off period. While every effort will be made to accommodate needs, student-athlete availability is determined on an event-by-event basis.
- Photo Credentials
- For photo credentials at athletic events please contact Gregor Walz or Kyle Mack. Credentials are issued on a game by game basis and season long.
- Athletic Event Coverage can be scheduled through Gregor Walz or Kyle Mack
- Sports Action Photography can be scheduled through Gregor Walz or Kyle Mack.
- University event coverage must be scheduled through University Marketing & Communications.
- Photo & Logo Requests
- Photo requests for headshots & action photos can be made by contacting the SID for the respective sport with the Player, Subject or location.
