OVERVIEW

Bentley Women’s Ultimate Society, better known as Freeze, is Bentley University's women’s ultimate frisbee team. Founded over fifteen years ago, the team was created to bring together women on campus through a shared love of ultimate frisbee—a sport that values spirit, teamwork, focus, and communication. These values guide the team both on and off the field and we proudly represent these values at Bentley and other schools we compete at.

The team is a tight-knit group of approximately ten dedicated players. There are five members on the executive board that are elected every season to lead the team. As a small but growing team, we’re focused on building both our numbers and our skills, with the goal of achieving greater success at the sectional and regional levels.

COMPETITION

Women's Ultimate holds practices twice a week on Monday and Wednesday nights throughout the year. We compete in tournaments during both the fall and spring semesters with our main competitive season taking place in the spring.

In the spring season, we attend three to five tournaments across New England, typically playing four games per tournament day. In the fall we typically attend one to two tournaments. When the team is not practicing or traveling to tournaments, you can often find us on Bentley’s Greenspace throwing discs and practicing our skills.

TEAM HISTORY

In 2025, Freeze earned second place in the Metro Boston Section, reflecting the team’s continued progress. Looking ahead, the club’s goal is to return to the Nationals, where Women's Ultimate has competed before, with appearances at D-III Nationals in 2010 and 2013.

The team was originally founded as Salt n’ Peppa but rebranded to WoBUS (Women’s Bentley Ultimate Society) in 2014. A few years ago, the current name Freeze was adopted. Our team is always looking for new members to share our love and passion for the sport while creating strong bonds. We look forward to showing continued growth in the future!
