Fall

Four Bentley teams earned an NCAA Championship berth during the fall season. The volleyball team (27-5) captured its third consecutive NCAA East Regional title. It also won the NE10 Regular Season Championship and the NE10 Tournament. Elizabeth Blinn ’26 became the first player in program history to be named to an All-America Team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), as she led the nation in blocks per set (1.67). Joey Pacis was named both the NE10 Coach of the Year and the AVCA East Region Coach of the Year.

The men’s soccer team (11-3-4) won the NE10 Regular Season Championship for the first time since 1995, and it earned an NCAA postseason berth for the first time since 1995. Michael Haikal ’26 was the NE10 Player of the Year. He also earned Academic All-America from College Sports Communicators (CSC), and he was named the National Scholar-Athlete of the Year by United Soccer Coaches (USC). Gary Crompton was named the NE10 Coach of the Year. The Falcons achieved a No. 10 national rank during the season.

The football team (7-4) captured its first NE10 title since 2019 when the Falcons beat Assumption, 20-17. The team earned an NCAA postseason bid for the first time since 2021. Isaiah Decias ’26 was named the NE10 Offensive Player of the Year, and Luke Warnock ’28 was named the NE10 Rookie of the Year.

The field hockey team (13-9) reached the NE10 Championship game at Saint Anselm. Although the Falcons lost in overtime, they earned an NCAA at-large berth. Gracie Moore ’26 was named an All-America First Team honoree by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).

In just its second year as a varsity program, the women’s golf team placed second in the NE10 Championship. Isabel Gonzalez ’29 won the conference’s individual title.

The Bentley men's golf team made school history when it reached a third-place finish in the Granite State Open. The Falcons shot three under par, becoming the first team in program history to shoot under par in a three-round event. Jack Kantowski ’27 placed second in the NE10 Championship.

Runners Lily Tedford ’28 and Samantha Doran ’28 traveled to Wisconsin, where they ran in the NCAA DII Women’s Cross Country Championship.

Winter

Bentley’s NCAA DI men’s hockey team (23-12-5) won the Atlantic Hockey Championship for the second consecutive year. The Falcons hosted the conference championship game for the first time, welcoming nearly 2,500 fans to Bentley Arena. Bentley beat Sacred Heart, 3-2, to win the conference title. Kellan Hjartarson ’27 scored the game-winning goal. Third-year coach Andy Jones was named the Atlantic Hockey Coach of the Year, as he led the Falcons to an NCAA Championship appearance in Albany, N.Y. There, Bentley battled the nation’s top-seeded team, Michigan, which was broadcast on ESPNU. Towards the latter part of the season, the Falcons achieved a No. 22 national ranking from U.S. College Hockey Online (USCHO).

The women’s basketball team (23-5) won the NE10 Regular Season Championship while earning the program’s 40th NCAA Championship appearance. Niya Morgen ’27 was named an All-America Honorable Mention by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), and C White earned NE10 Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season. The Falcons were ranked as high as No. 9 nationally during the season.

The men’s basketball team (19-10) reached the NCAA postseason for the 21st time in program history. Shortly after the end of the season, head coach Jay Lawson announced his retirement. Lawson was on the Bentley men’s basketball coaching staff for 41 years, including 35 years as head coach. He posted a career record of 664-335 while at the helm of the program.

The women’s swimming & diving team was the runner-up in the NE10 Championship for the fourth consecutive year, and the men’s team placed third. Taylor White ’26 became the third Falcon in Bentley women’s swimming & diving history to earn Academic All-America from College Sports Communicators (CSC).

During the NE10 Men’s Indoor Track & Field Championships, Hayden MacArthur ’27 set the conference championship record in the 800-m (1:51.33). That same indoor season, Eman Nda set the school record in the men’s 60-m dash (6.88 seconds).

Spring

The baseball team (44-17) broke all sorts of records on its way to the program’s first NE10 title, first NCAA postseason, and first NCAA DII College World Series appearance. The team’s 44 wins far surpassed the program’s previous record of 33 wins in a season, and the Falcons reached a No. 7 national ranking in the process. Bentley hosted the NCAA Regional and NCAA Super Regional. The Falcons advanced to the DII World Series when Stan DeMartinis ’26 scored a walk-off run on a wild pitch against Molloy in the Super Regional.

DeMatinis, Nick Pappas ’26, Pat Heber ’26, and Brendan Sencaj ’27 earned All-America status from various associations. Mike Hill was named the East Region Coach of the Year by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). Among the single-season program records set by the 2026 Falcons: Home runs (23, Stan DeMartinis III); RBI (82, Brendan Sencaj); Hits (103, Nick Pappas); Runs (84, Nick Pappas); Walks (51, Tommy Bolton); Wins (10, Pat Heber & Sam Belliveau); Strikeouts (106, Zach Eigenbrod); Appearances (26, Keegan Antelman).

Eman Nda ’26 solidified his place as the fastest man in Bentley history. After setting the school record in the 60-m during the indoor track & field season, he set the school record in the 100-m (10.64 seconds) during the outdoor track & field season.

Kyle Piersiak ’26 earned All-America Honorable Mention for the second consecutive year from the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA), rounding out his celebrated men’s lacrosse career. Head coach Jim Murphy retired shortly after the end of the season, marking 34 years at the helm of the program. He is a six-time NE10 Coach of the Year, most recently in 2023.
