Freshman forward Tyler McFarland (Rockport, Maine/Camden Hills HS) scored 29 points, the third time in the last 17 days he’s set a new career-high, and collected a career-best 14 rebounds as Bentley University made it a season-ending four-game winning streak with an 81-70 victory over UMass-Lowell in Northeast-10 Conference men’s basketball Tuesday night at the Dana Center.

The 50th season of Bentley University men’s basketball will draw to a close Tuesday night when the Falcons looking for their fourth consecutive win as they face UMass-Lowell for the 50th and final time. Game time at the Dana Center is set for 7:30 pm.

Bentley University freshman Tyler McFarland (Rockport, Maine/Camden Hills HS) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week following his outstanding performance last week. It’s the second straight week and the fourth time this year that he’s received the honor.

The Bentley University men’s basketball team will be looking to continue its late-season success Saturday when it visits Stonehill College in search of a third consecutive win. Tip-off at Merkert Gymnasium is scheduled for 3:30 pm.

Senior forward Jasper Grassa (Lynn, Mass./Lynn Classical HS) scored a career-high 30 points and helped the Bentley University men’s basketball team close with an 11-5 run in the final minute as the Falcons knocked Franklin Pierce University, the 23rd-ranked team in Division II, out of a tie for first place in Northeast-10 Conference, 66-60, Wednesday night at The Fieldhouse.

No program in Northeast-10 Conference men’s basketball history has won more regular season titles than the Bentley University Falcons. They have nine all-time, including six since 2005. The Falcons won’t win a tenth this season but on Wednesday night, they can have an impact on who does earn the championship. Bentley, coming off a 23-point win over Southern New Hampshire, will be playing a 7:30 pm contest at Franklin Pierce University, which enters the final nine days and three games of the regular season even at the top of the standings with Saint Anselm College.

Following back-to-back 18-point games, Bentley University freshman Tyler McFarland (Rockport, Maine/Camden Hills HS) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week for the third time this season. He was previously recognized Nov. 26 and Dec. 10.

It’ll be Senior Day at the Dana Center Saturday, but it will be two young teams on the court when the Bentley University Falcons take on Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 Conference men’s basketball at 3:30 pm. Prior to the game, Bentley’s two seniors, guards Mike Topercer (Scottsdale, Ariz./New Hampton Prep) and Mikerson Laurent (Hamilton, N.J./Hun School), will be recognized for their contributions.

After completing a string of three straight road games and suffering their fifth one-possession loss of the season, the Bentley University men’s basketball team will be back in the Dana Center Tuesday night to take on St. Michael’s College at 7:30 pm.

The young Bentley University men’s basketball team will attempt to slow down the conference-leading Saint Anselm College Hawks when the two teams meet in a storm-delayed Northeast-10 Conference game Sunday night at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium. Tip-off for the second half of an NE-10 doubleheader is set for 5:30 pm.

Merrimack College used a pair of 11-0 runs, one in each half, to shoot down Bentley University, 71-62, in Northeast-10 Conference men’s basketball Wednesday night at Hammel Court. The win was the Warriors’ first over the Falcons since 2005, ending an 18-game Bentley streak in the series.

Following three straight difficult losses, the Bentley University men’s basketball team will visit Merrimack College Wednesday looking to complete a sweep of the season series with the Warriors. Tip-off at the Hammel Court is 7:30 pm.
