No team in the Northeast-10 Conference last season enjoyed a greater improvement in points from the previous season than the Bentley women’s soccer team. And the Falcons, who open the 2012 campaign Sept. 1 at home against Holy Family, will look to take another step this season and grab a playoff spot.

Bentley head women’s soccer coach Lauren Lukis has named seniors Deirdre Leary (Holden, Mass./St. Peter-Marian) and Julie Pomponi (Belmont, Mass./Belmont), and juniors Katie Moroney (North Andover, Mass./North Andover) and Casey Neary (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) captains for the upcoming 2012 season. Both Leary and Pomponi were two of the Falcons’ three captains last season.
