Despite trailing by at least four points in all three sets, American International College swept Bentley University, 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Friday night at the Dana Center. The scores in the Falcons’ final home appearance of 2012 were 25-22, 25-20 and 25-23.

Freshman setter Kyana Miller (San Diego, Calif./Canyon Crest Acad.) and senior middle Grace Conner (Santa Barbara, Calif./San Marcos HS) turned in strong efforts as Bentley University swept past Stonehill College, 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Tuesday night at the Dana Center.

Adelphi University was in control from the start en route to a three-set sweep of visiting Bentley at the Center for Recreation and Sports in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Friday evening. Scores were 25-12, 25-11 and 25-11.

Outside hitters Stephanie Sheehan (Smithtown, N.Y.) and Shaunda Forcier (Gonic, N.H.) combined for 30 kills and 21 digs as Merrimack College upset Bentley University in four sets in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Tuesday night at the Dana Center. Scores were 25-21, 25-20, 16-25 and 25-22. The Merrimack win came despite a strong performance from Bentley senior middle blocker Grace Conner (Santa Barbara, Calif./San Marcos HS).

Four different players recorded at least 10 kills, with that quartet combining for a .346 hitting percentage, as Bentley University posted a four-set win over Le Moyne College in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Saturday afternoon at the Dana Center. Scores were 25-22, 19-25, 25-13 and 25-17.

Sophomore libero Katy Daniels (South Hadley) made 27 digs and served three aces as the College of Saint Rose overcame a first-set loss to top Bentley University, 3-1, in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Friday night at the Dana Center.

Sophomore Tatiana Froehlich (Newton/Newton North HS) established new career bests in kills (12) and digs (9), and matched her previous high in blocks (5), as Bentley University came from behind twice for a 3-2 win over UMass-Lowell in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Tuesday night at Costello Gymnasium.

Outside hitters Natasha Ray (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Catie Swiderski (Rocky Point, N.Y.) each had 11 kills as Franklin Pierce University put away Bentley University in four sets in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Saturday night. The match was played at Brandeis University’s Auerbach Arena due to resurfacing of the Dana Center court.

Bentley University sophomores Emily Garcia (Gardnerville, Nev./Douglas HS) and Savannah Dominguez (Miami, Fla./Palmer Trinity HS) each had a season-best 10 kills, but it wasn’t enough as the Falcons fell in five sets to St. Michael’s College in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Thursday night at the Ross Sports Center. Scores were 25-15, 23-25, 25-13, 21-25 and 15-7.

The Bentley University women’s volleyball team completed the Pepsi Bash at the Beach at Palm Beach Atlantic University with a pair of 3-0 losses on Saturday as the Falcons fell to Barry University as well as the host institution.

Sophomore Kelsey Buckner (San Marino, Calif./San Marino HS) led the way with 10 kills and eight digs, and the trio of Ashley Ahearn (Marshfield/Marshfield HS) Grace Conner (Santa Barbara, Calif./San Marcos HS) and Emily Garcia (Gardnerville, Nev./Douglas HS) combined for 25 kills and only one error, as the Bentley University women’s volleyball team topped Claflin University in three Friday evening at Palm Beach Atlantic’s Pepsi Bash at the Beach.

With a different player leading the team in kills in each set and freshman setter Kyana Miller (San Diego, Calif./Canyon Crest Acad.) providing 31 assists, Bentley University topped Saint Anselm College, 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Tuesday evening in the Dana Center. The Falcons took the first and third sets by identical 25-21 scores, with a 25-17 sandwiched in between.

Senior co-captain Grace Conner (Santa Barbara, Calif./San Marcos HS) continued her strong hitting, with 11 kills and no errors, and sophomore Kelsey Bucker (San Marino, Calif./San Marino HS) had a team-high 13 kills as the Bentley University women’s volleyball team completed a successful weekend trip to New York with a 3-1 Northeast-10 Conference win over Pace University Saturday afternoon at the Goldstein Recreation Center.

Freshman setter Kyana Miller (San Diego, Calif./Canyon Crest Acad.) amassed 36 assists, four aces and four kills, and four teammates had at least nine kills, as Bentley University posted a 3-1 win over Nyack College in non-conference women’s volleyball Friday night at the Bowman Gymnasium.

Sophomore outside hitter Kelsey Buckner (San Marino, Calif./San Marino HS) put down 14 kills and freshmen Kyana Miller (San Diego, Calif./Canyon Crest Acad.) and Jaci Buscher (Lakewood, Colo./Green Mountain HS) both had double-doubles as Bentley University bested Mercy College, 3-1, Saturday morning in the Northeast-10/East Coast Conference Challenge at the Dana Center.

Bentley University sophomore Kelsey Buckner (San Marino, Calif./San Marino HS) and freshman teammate Jaci Buscher (Lakewood, Colo./Green Mountain HS) each posted double-doubles, combining for 27 kills and 23 digs in the Falcons’ 3-1 loss to Dowling College Friday night at the Dana Center. Scores for the opening match of the Northeast-10/East Coast Conference Volleyball Challenge were 18-25, 25-22, 25-23 and 25-18.

Bentley University sophomore outside hitter Kelsey Buckner (San Marino, Calif./San Marino HS) tied her season-high with 12 kills and also served three aces, but the Falcons dropped a 3-1 decision to Assumption College Tuesday night in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball at the Laska Gymnasium.
