After again coming up just short, the Bentley University Falcons will make a sixth attempt at gaining win number two when they play at Southern Connecticut State University Saturday. Kickoff for the Owls’ Homecoming Day game is now scheduled for 1 pm, a change from the previously-announced 12 noon.

Once again, it came down to the final minute for the Bentley University football team, and for the fourth straight week, the Falcons were denied victory. Bentley fell to American International College, 19-16, in rain-soaked Northeast-10 Conference action Saturday afternoon at Abdow Field when a potential game-winning drive was snuffed out by an interception in the end zone by AIC junior safety Daquan Holmes (Troy, N.Y.) with 40.8 seconds left.

Bentley Set for Homecoming Day Encounter with New Haven

Victories have been hard to come by thus far this season for both the Bentley University Falcons and the University of New Haven Chargers, two football programs who are accustomed to winning. Bentley has had 23 winning records in 26 varsity seasons and a .699 winning percentage from 2001-13 while New Haven was a combined 37-8 over the last four seasons.
