Hardy, McDonald & Beckwith Named to Hampshire Honor Society by National Football Foundation Three recent Bentley University graduates, all of whom were All-Northeast-10 Conference honorees, were recently named to the 2017 Hampshire Honor Society by the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame. Gemma & Hardy Named Bentley’s Outstanding Senior Athletes; French Recipient of Powers Award All-America women’s basketball player Jen Gemma (Milton/Fontbonne Academy) and football linebacker Bryan Hardy (Barnstable/Barnstable HS), a first-team CoSIDA Academic All-America®, have been named the Outstanding Senior Athletes at Bentley University. February 22, 2017 Hardy Selected as Northeast-10’s Sport Excellence Winner for Football Bentley University senior linebacker Bryan Hardy (Barnstable/Barnstable HS), a first-team CoSIDA Division II Academic All-America last fall, has been selected as the Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence award winner for football in the Northeast-10 Conference.
December 14, 2016 Ford Selected for 2016 D2CCA All-America Football Team Bentley University senior punter Tyler Ford (Amherst, N.H./Souhegan HS) has been chosen for the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association All-America first team by the nation’s sports information directors.
December 2, 2016 Ford Selected D2CCA 1st-Team All-Super Region 1 Record-setting Bentley University senior punter Tyler Ford (Amherst, N.H./ Souhegan HS) has been selected for the 2016 Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association All-Super Region 1 first team by the region’s sports information directors. Ford is Bentley’s first first-team honoree since 2009 and its first two-time All-Region honoree since long-time NFL offensive lineman Mackenzy Bernadeau (2006-07).

November 30, 2016 Hardy & McDonald Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-America® Football Team One of the highest accolades a student-athlete can receive is selection to the Academic All-America team by the College Sports Information Directors of America®. Two Bentley University football captains, senior linebacker Bryan Hardy (Barnstable/ Barnstable HS) and senior defensive back Sam McDonald (Norfolk/King Philip Reg. HS), received that prestigious honor Wednesday when they were selected to the 2016 CoSIDA Division II Academic All-America football team. It was the first time in program history that Bentley has had two players selected in the same season.
