Sophomore Brett Gensler (St. Charles, Mo./Youngstown Phantoms) and freshman Alex Grieve (Calgary, Alberta/Westside Warriors) have earned two of the three Travel Team USA Atlantic Hockey weekly awards, the conference announced Monday afternoon. Gensler was named Player of the Week and Grieve took home Rookie of the Week honors.

A pair of first period goals by Army proved to be the difference Saturday night as the Black Knights came away with a 3-1 win over Bentley University in Atlantic Hockey play at Ryan Skating Arena.

Bentley University got back in the win column Friday night with an impressive 6-2 road win against Army in the first game of a home-and-home Atlantic Hockey series at Tate Rink.

Just three days after a thrilling 6-6 tie with Holy Cross, the Bentley hockey team is right back at it with a home-and-home series against the Army Black Knights. Friday’s game will take place at Tate Rink in West Point, N.Y., while Saturday’s contest is back at Ryan Skating Arena.

RIT goalie Shane Madalora stood tall in the face of relentless Bentley pressure in the third period to help the Tigers escape Watertown with 2-1 win over Bentley and sweep the weekend Atlantic Hockey series Saturday night.
