Bentley University freshman Edy-Elliot Uthman-Olukokun (West Warwick, R.I./West Warwick HS) earned second-team All-Conference honors by finishing second in the 100 meters during the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which concluded Saturday at American International College.

Bentley University sprinter Edy-Elliot Uthman-Olukokun (West Warwick, R.I./West Warwick HS) continued an impressive freshman year by qualifying for Saturday’s finals in both the 100 meters and 200 meters during the first day of competition at the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships Friday at American International College.

Thirteen members of the Bentley University men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams are seeded in the top eight in at least one event for this weekend’s Northeast-10 Conference Championships, which will be contested at American International College in Springfield Friday and Saturday.

Senior Craig Robinson (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough HS) qualified for next weekend’s Northeast-10 Championships in the steeplechase, with his time of 10:01.71 good for second place.

Bentley University freshman Edy-Elliot Uthman-Olukokun (West Warwick, R.I./West Warwick HS) had a busy and productive night Friday night as he won three events and competed in two others during the Stonehill Track and Field Invitational at W.B. Mason Stadium.

Returning to his home state, Bentley University junior Conor Higgins (Randolph, N.J./ Randolph HS) broke four minutes in the 1500 meters for the first time in his career while competing in the 1500 meters in the Larry Ellis Invitational Saturday at Princeton University.

Following an outstanding performance during the University of New Hampshire Wildcat Invitational, Bentley University freshman Edy-Elliot Uthman-Olukokun (West Warwick, R.I./West Warwick HS) has been selected as the Men’s Track Rookie of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference.

It was quite an afternoon for Bentley University sprinter and jumper Edy-Elliot Uthman-Olukokun (West Warwick, R.I./West Warwick HS) during the University of New Hampshire Wildcat Invitational Saturday as the freshman finished first in three events, including the 100 and 200 meters, and etched his name onto the program’s all-time list in four.

LOWELL, Mass. – Members of the Bentley University men’s outdoor track team recorded ten top ten finishes Saturday during the George Davis Invitational at UMass-Lowell, including two by freshman Edy-Elliot Uthman-Olukokun (West Warwick, R.I./West Warwick HS).

Bentley University senior Caitlin Fahey (Bridgewater/Coyle-Cassidy HS), following an impressive performance in the Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State, has been named the Northeast-10 Women’s Track Athlete of the Week. It’s the third time this year she’s been so honored, the previous two coming during the indoor season. Also recognized by the NE-10, as Men’s Relay Team of the Week, was the Falcon quartet of freshman Sean Nee (West Yarmouth/Dennis-Yarmouth Reg. HS), junior Conor Higgins (Randolph, N.J./ Randolph HS) and seniors John Drago (Avon, Conn./Avon HS) and senior Craig Robinson (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough HS).

During the Raleigh Relays Saturday at North Carolina State’s Paul Herr Track, four members of the Bentley University men’s outdoor track team broke a 12-year-old school record in the seldom-contested 4x1500 meter relay.

The highlight for the men’s team was a New England qualifying performance by junior Eric Kennedy (West Hartford, Conn./Northwest Catholic HS) in the 100 meters. He finished in exactly 11.00 seconds, placing fifth of eight in his heat, tenth among Division II competitors and 38th of 109 overall.

An eighth-place finish by senior John Drago (Avon, Conn./Avon HS) was the highest placing by a member of the Bentley University men’s track and field team during its initial meet of the outdoor season, the Bridgewater State Bear Invitational Saturday. Drago placed eighth in a field of 49 with a time of 4:09.27.

Two sprinters on the men’s team received All-Region honors with junior Eric Kennedy (West Hartford, Conn./West Hartford HS) recognized in the 200 meters and freshman Edy-Elliot Uthman-Olakokun (West Warwick, R.I./West Warwick HS) honored in the 60.

On the men's side, Bentley was led by freshmen Edy-Elliot Uthman-Olukokun (West Warwick, R.I./West Warwick HS) and Connor Hichens (Sharon/Sharon HS). Uthman-Olukokun finished 12th in the semifinals of the 60 meters with a time of 7.14. Hichens moved to sixth on the Falcons' all-time list in the triple jump, with his 43 feet, 7.75 inch leap a new personal best.

Bentley University junior Eric Kennedy (West Hartford, Conn./Northwest Catholic HS) broke his own school record in the 200 meter preliminaries Friday night during the New England Championships at Boston University’s Track and Tennis Center, with his time of 22.03 seconds improving on the mark he set on the same track a month ago by two-tenths of a second.

Bentley University seniors John Drago (Avon, Conn./Avon HS) and Sean Maguire (Essex, Vt./Essex HS) each recorded second-place finishes while helping the Falcons take fifth place in the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Indoor Track Championships Saturday night at the Reggie Lewis Center.
