Returning to the Capital District for the first time as a collegian, sophomore second baseman Erica Thibodeau (Cohoes, N.Y./Shaker HS) had three hits and three RBI to lead Bentley University to a 4-2 win over The College of Saint Rose in the first game of a Northeast-10 Conference softball doubleheader at Cathy Haker Field Sunday afternoon.

Junior first baseman Leah Ford (Pulaski, N.Y.) homered in both games and drove in a total of four runs as Le Moyne College swept Bentley University, 8-0 and 6-1, in a Northeast-10 Conference softball doubleheader Saturday afternoon at the Niland Athletic Complex. The first game was halted after the Dolphin lead reached eight in the sixth inning.

Senior lefty Leighann Bell (East Islip, N.Y.) pitched a five-hitter in the opener and freshman righty Katie Andrews (Dothan, Ala.) bettered that in the nightcap, finishing with a two-hitter, as Adelphi University swept Bentley University, 4-1 and 5-1, in Northeast-10 Conference softball Wednesday afternoon at Bentley.

Vandermeulen HS) delivered a bases-loaded two-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning to break a 4-4 tie and give Bentley University a 5-4 win over UMass-Lowell in the first half of a Northeast-10 Conference softball doubleheader Wednesday afternoon at Bentley.

Junior Kaitlin Andrews (Hudson) pitched a one-hitter in the opener and junior shortstop Chelsea Stryker (Baldwin, N.Y.) had six hits in the doubleheader as Stonehill College swept Bentley University, 5-0 and 12-4, in Northeast-10 Conference softball Monday afternoon at Father Gartland Field.

Junior Brittany Hill (Durham, Conn.) pitched a one-hit shutout in the opener and classmate Jayme Larson (Aurora, Colo.) followed with a no-hitter in the nightcap as Southern Connecticut State swept Bentley University, 5-0 and 6-0, in Northeast-10 Conference softball Sunday afternoon at Pelz Field.

Sophomore Alana Wesche (Oxford, Conn.) pitched a five-hitter in the opener and junior Micah Stonesifer (Wichita Falls, Texas) followed with a three-hitter in game two as the University of New Haven posted a pair of 5-2 wins over Bentley University in Northeast-10 Conference softball at the UNH Softball Field Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Shannon Dalton (Concord, Mass.) authored a five-inning three-hit shutout in the opener and came back to pitch the first six innings of the nightcap as Saint Anselm College swept Bentley University, 11-0 and 2-1, in Northeast-10 Conference softball at Saint Anselm’s South Athletic Field Thursday afternoon.

A walk-off single by freshman third baseman Kelly Sanborn (Hopkinton/Hopkinton HS) scored junior left fielder Meghan Carter (Hudson/Hudson HS) and gave Bentley University a 3-2 win over Franklin Pierce University in the first half of a Northeast-10 Conference softball doubleheader Monday afternoon at Bentley.

Sophomore Elizabeth Habib (Methuen) pitched a three-hit shutout in the opener and junior Kristen Dolan (Norwood) followed with a five-inning no-hitter as American International College took a pair from Bentley University, 4-0 and 12-1, in a Northeast-10 Conference softball doubleheader Sunday afternoon at Bentley.

Junior pitcher Chelsea Durso (Salem, N.H.) tossed her second no-hitter in four days in the opener and freshman right fielder Nicole Boris (Gardner) slammed a three-run homer in the nightcap as Assumption College swept Bentley University, 9-0 and 7-1, in Northeast-10 Conference softball Saturday afternoon at Bentley. The opening game was halted after five innings of play.

Sophomore Lindsey Theriault (Burlington/Brooks School) came within four outs of a no-hitter and classmate Erica Thibodeau (Cohoes, N.Y./Shaker HS) capped a five-run second inning with a three-run home run as Bentley University completed a sweep of St. Michael’s College with an 8-0 shutout in game two of a Northeast-10 Conference softball doubleheader played at Bentley.

The site for the Bentley University softball doubleheader against St. Michael's on Wednesday has been changed. Originally scheduled to be played in Vermont, it will now be played at Bentley, with the first pitch scheduled for 3 pm.

Today's softball doubleheader with Franklin Pierce has been postponed as the weather continues to play havoc with the Bentley University softball schedule.
