BOSTON, Mass. -- Senior Sean Reagan (Marcellus,
N.Y./Marcellus HS) was the top finisher for the Bentley
University men's cross country team at the New England
Championships, held Saturday at Franklin Park. Reagan covered the
4.95-mile course in 26:45 to place 166th in a field of 318.
Bentley coach Ed Lyons, who rested his first team, saw his
"B" team place 40th out of 47 teams with a score of
1154.
Bentley's second man across the finish line was junior
Gabe Campbell (Queensbury, N.Y./ Queensbury HS).
He was 230th with a time of 27:25.
Dartmouth took the team championship by just two points over
Boston University, 138-140, and Central Connecticut (186) was
third. AIC's Glarius Rop took individual honors, winning by
13 seconds over Eric Ashe of Boston University with a time of
24:08.
Bentley will be back in action Oct. 22 when the Falcons run in
the Saint Rose Cross Country Joust.
