EASTON, Mass. – The Stonehill women's tennis team, ranked fourth in the East Region, defeated Bentley University 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the Brown Billone Club in Easton, Mass.
The win is the seventh in a row for the Skyhawks, who improve to 12-1 overall and 8-0 in the Northeast-10. Bentley, meanwhile, drops to 7-4 in the NE-10 and 7-10 overall.
Sophomore Rachael Litton (Burlington, Ontario/Nelson) had the best shot at a win for Bentley, going to three sets with Leah White in number three singles, but falling in a tiebreak, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (7-2).
The Falcons are at Le Moyne on Sunday for their second to last match of the season.
