Women's Tennis Beats Saint Anselm, 7-2

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Bentley women's tennis team snapped a two match skid with a 7-2 win over Northeast-10 foe Saint Anselm on Thursday afternoon.

The Falcons improve their conference record to 8-3 with one match left in the regular season, and a spot in the Northeast-10 Championships already in hand.

Bentley won all three doubles matches, highlighted by the team of Ludmila Yamus (Deer Park, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills) and Stephania Adondakis (Salt Lake City, Utah/Waterford School) beating Alexandra Lawrence and Katherine Morrissey in the No. 1 match, 8-4.

Bentley won four of the six singles matches, with Yamus defeating Lawrence in the No. 1 match in three sets, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4, and senior Rachael Litton (Burlington, Ontario/Nelson) defeating Morrissey in the No. 2 match, 7-6, 6-1. Freshman Catherine Gianino (Burlington, Mass./Burlington) picked up her second win of the day by beating Kathryn Rindo in the No. 3 match 6-1, 6-1, and Adondakis earned her second of the day by besting Rachel Pedro in the No. 6 match 8-3.

The Falcons close out the regular season on Saturday at home against Southern New Hampshire at 2:00 pm.
