PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Bentley University freshman Susan Stowe (Hebron, Conn./RHAM) advanced in singles competition Saturday on day one of the ITA Women's Tennis East Regional, hosted by Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia.

Placed in the B singles tournament, Stowe defeated Gabrielle DiCroce of Molloy 8-4 in the first round. She will face Merrimack's Rachel Muller in the round of 16 Sunday, and is the only Bentley player left in the competition.

The Falcons had one team each in the A and B doubles tournament, but neither was able to win their first match.
